Industrial Engineer II

Resident expert for manufacturing costing, ROI, mid-long term profitability, with variance analysis performed at a strategic level. Responsible for the management and implementation of strategic milestones, focused on continuous improvements. Responsibilities and tasks derived from the leadership between the Manufacturing Operations strategy and BU/Division strategy.
•Lead strategic improvement projects, in a multi-disciplinary organization, to obtain cost reductions and improved efficiencies, to achieve profitability targets.
•Manage new product standard costing and its cost improvement life cycle, collaborating with Development and Operations functions to achieve objective.
•Manage projects for ROI with corporate finance and manufacturing engineering.
•Lead analyst for manufacturing financials, in terms of variance (cost & quantity) at a strategic level with the goal of attaining improvements
•Create and maintain processes for life-cycle cost management of projects/programs from inception to completion with periodic review to identify causes for variance
•Identify products and/or processes where cost reductions might be realized. Identify process gaps and prioritize these opportunities based on own analysis, and through direction from Manufacturing Operations Manager.
•Maintain schedule on multiple cross-functional development teams using project management tools and methodology
•Seeks opportunities and researches emerging project management methodologies by attending seminars, working groups, and continuing education.
•Creation and maintenance of Baan router and work center product master data and standard cost data when applicable.
&bullect and perform time studies and efficiency analyses on machines and processes, focusing on increasing productivity in all activities.
•Participate in the monthly Manufacturing and Development Engineering meetings as required.
•Provide direction, guidance, or assistance to Industrial Engineers where applicable.
•Follow necessary PPE requirements, appropriate ISO specifications and company procedures.
•Demonstrate an honest and forthright presence by taking responsibility for own mistakes and by doing what he/she commits to doing.
•Work as a team player. Express gratitude and appreciation to others who have provided information, assistance or support.

•Engineering degree: BA or BS in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or related subjects.
•5 years’ experience in a manufacturing role preferred.
•Excellent analytical skills
•Efficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project.
•Ability to communicate and work effectively with others with strong verbal and written communication skills
•Knowledge of SAP or other enterprise-wide management software is desirable
•Strong project management skills or demonstrated capability of leading project teams

• Able to lift or move containers weighing up to a maximum of 50 pounds
• Attendance in accordance with company policies
• Able to use computer for four hours at a time without break.
• Able to accommodate occasional travel overseas for up to 10 working days at a time.
• Able to drive or fly to distant supplier, customer, or training session and stay overnight for periods of up to a week.
• Able to drive to local supplier, in own vehicle (with reimbursement), at short notice.
